- 01Don't use any football agent - find a football coach who can act as your agent, ensuring your best interests are protected at every step throughout your career. At CCC we understand that football agents have a poor reputation amongst other stakeholders within the industry. Agents are perceived to be financially focussed, prioritising maximising their commissions through transfers and contract negotiations over the wellbeing of their clients. Agents have been known to operate against their clients' best interests, including securing transfers to clubs which do not support the development of the player but offer a larger contract than clubs which would be more appropriate for the player's long-term career. Additionally, many agents abandon clients if they experience a serious injury due to the decrease in the player's economic value in the short-term. Some are volatile in negotiations with clubs, arguing and creating rifts which damage both their and their clients' reputations. Although against FIFA Football Agent Regulation Rules, agents exist within the industry who will pay players and their families in order to win them as clients, clearly an unethical practice. However, at CCC we do things differently. We are not interested in representing clients solely for financial gain. In addition to being a FIFA Licensed Football Agent, founder and CEO Mark Chapman is a: • Chartered Accountant • UEFA B Coach Having also attended the Johan Cruyff Institute and Real Madrid Postgraduate School to study two separate masters' degrees in coaching, Mark considers himself to be a coach that also manages a player's career. Our unique experience in business, finance and sport therefore enables CCC to offer our differentiated three pillars of service to football players: PILLAR I: Managing Careers CCC provides core agency services such as contract negotiations, securing transfers, identifying suitable sponsors and brand management. PILLAR II: Football Coaching Supporting players on the five pillars of development - tactical, technical, physical, psychological and social. in doing so, CCC helps players maximise their potential and get the most out of their playing careers. PILLAR III: Player Care Unfortunately, many players suffer from mental health issues, gambling addictions and alcoholism on retiring from football. Having spent a significant portion of their lives in a high-performance bubble, transitioning to a new life after they retire can be turbulent. At CCC we smooth this transition by preparing early. We coach players in line with Cruyffian philosophy, helping them to understand themselves by exploring themes such as inner motivations, limiting beliefs, understanding how they present themselves and much more. This enables players to identify a career path after football which is strongly aligned to their interests, strengths and values. CCC then supports the player in preparing for this transition. We have partnerships with education institutions such as the Johan Cruyff Institute, enabling players to access discounted undergraduate and postgraduate courses, alumni networks, expert webinars and sports industry career postings.
