Crystal Palace beat Manchester United on penalties in the final of the U18s Premier League Cup at Selhurst Park.
United, featuring rising stars such as JJ Gabriel and Chido Obi, led 1-0 before a 94th minute penalty equaliser by Palace’s Ben Casey sent the game to extra time.
The sides had met just days earlier in the FA Youth Cup semi-final, with Darren Fletcher’s United progressing after extra time at Old Trafford.
Delighted for Palace U18s coach, Javier Delgado, who has always been very welcoming and has led his group impressively this season after joining from Atletico Madrid last summer.
A great effort by both sides showcasing exciting young players who demonstrated their strong technical ability and composure under pressure.
